Helpful staff and friendly people.

I understand that the building is old but with a name like Doubletree I'd expect it to be nicer. The floor that comes in from the parking garage was musty and wet smelling. The room I stayed in had what looked like shoe marks all over one wall. There were spots on the wall and ceiling that had been touched up with paint, and they stuck out like a sore thumb. Overall the staff were polite and accommodating but the hotel was dirty.

While it was quite hot outside, the carpet in our first room was very wet for about 3 feet around the AC unit. We weren't sure if it was the fridge or AC at first, but definitely the AC. I was told it was because it was hot outside, but that makes little sense if a drain pipe was properly working to remove the moisture. Anyway, the staff was helpful and moved us to the next room, and the floor was fine. Lots of restaurants nearby. This hotel does remind me why I spend more on rooms nowadays rather than pick a slightly cheaper hotel. No need for us to stay at this location again. Breakfast was just ok.
